About CookCalc365
What the site offers, its editorial approach and how to use its calculations responsibly.
What we built
CookCalc365 is a free collection of kitchen measurement calculators for home cooks who need a practical answer without installing an app. The tools cover US volume units, ingredient-specific cups and grams, weight conversion, oven temperatures, recipe servings and butter packaging equivalents.
Why explanations accompany the tools
A number without its assumptions can mislead. For example, a cup is a volume and a gram is a mass; converting between them requires knowing the ingredient. That is why each tool includes context, why our methodology identifies the formulas, and why the guide distinguishes approximate food weights from fixed unit definitions.
How to interpret results
Use the calculations as planning aids. Ingredient reference weights can vary by brand, packing and moisture. Ovens can differ from their displayed settings. For delicate baking, a scale and the original recipe are better authorities than a general reference chart. Food safety and allergen decisions require separate attention.
Editorial approach
The site favors plain language, worked examples and clearly labeled US standards. We periodically review the educational explanations and correct discovered errors. Our aim is to make common kitchen conversions transparent, rather than implying that a calculator can account for every real-world cooking variable.
Who created the site
CookCalc365 was created by James Gore as a free cooking utility and reference resource. The tools work in a browser and do not require a user account.
